2025 was a defining year for the Better Business Grants, with businesses across Jersey showing real ambition to invest in the things that matter most, productivity, innovation, customer experience and their people. The 2025 report highlights just how far the programme has come, and the impact it continues to make.
Demand for the grants was consistently strong throughout the year, with a sharp rise in applications as the 2025 closing date approached. This reflects growing confidence in the programme and in what the grants can help businesses achieve.
One of the year’s headline achievements was the allocation of £5.0 million in grant funding, which together with private investment, increased the total to £11.4 million. These combined investments are now enabling organisations to adopt new technology, streamline processes, strengthen capability and build long-term resilience.

The strength of the programme isn’t just in the results, it’s also in its governance. The 2025 reporting confirms that no financial or operational breaches occurred, demonstrating the care and due diligence that underpin every application review and funding decision
Alongside this, engagement with the programme grew significantly. More than 1,700 people attended events and briefings throughout the year, with thousands more using the website, guidance tools and case studies to explore how the grants could support their goals.
