Taylor helps facilitate routes to market for Jersey’s rural and marine producers. She acts as a human switchboard making meaningful connections between unlikely people across the island. She sees healthy citizens, sovereignty, and our natural resources as the greatest assets we have.
Before moving to Jersey three years ago to set up a regenerative business consultancy, she lived in Southeast Asia for 8 years, where she worked in international development, founded a waste management social enterprise, and supported the co-creation of a new economy digital commons.
Taylor’s natural leadership and communication skills enabled her to lead a global team of researchers who contributed 100s of sustainable business and innovation case studies to leading Japanese multinational companies.
Since coming to Jersey, she has worked to build active participation in shaping Jersey’s food future. Her role with Farm Jersey is reinforced by her Master’s degree in Island Biodiversity and Conservation.
The most important thing on Taylor’s desk is…
A cup of coffee, because it focuses my otherwise daydreaming mind.
Taylor’s ideal holiday would be…
Trekking in the Himalayas or across the Arctic tundra.
Not many people know that…
I was born in Okinawa, Japan and spoke Japanese before English.
