The Vital Skills Summit Jersey 2026 is different. It is a one-day, cross-sector learning summit for professionals who carry real responsibility for safety, wellbeing, education and care.

The summit brings together safeguarding, leadership and Artificial Intelligence in one joined-up academic and practice-based event. It is designed for people working in health, education, social care, safeguarding, charities and multi-agency partnerships.
Organised by Life Vital Academy, in association with Durham University, the day blends research, lived experience and practical tools you can take back to your organisation.
Three Strands. One Learning Experience.
Safeguarding and Context:
Exploring harm beyond the family home, peer and community risk, and the environments in which children, young people and adults live, learn and work.
Leadership and Culture:
How kindness, everyday behaviour and team culture shape safety, trust and learning in high-pressure services.
AI and Professional Judgement:
How Artificial Intelligence is entering assessment, planning and accountability – and what this means for ethics, responsibility and decision making.
Why It Feels Different
This is a summit, not a standard conference. It is built as a shared learning space, not just a stage.
