Our book club is open to all, with the aim of bringing together like-minded individuals who are passionate about learning and self development.
This month the group will be a discussing The More Beautiful World Our Hearts Know Is Possible by Charles Eisenstein.
Ideally you will have read the book before attending, but it’s not a requirement. Ed Jewell, Chief Librarian will facilite the session so please come along for what promises to be a really relaxed and enjoyable event.
Being part of a business book club can have several benefits, including:
📚 Knowledge and skill development: Business books are often written by experts in their field, and reading them can help leaders gain new knowledge and skills that they can apply to their own businesses.
🌱 Personal growth: Reading and discussing business books with others can help leaders reflect on their own leadership styles, strengths, and weaknesses, and can provide opportunities for personal growth and development.
🤝 Networking: Book clubs provide opportunities to connect with other leaders in the community, expanding professional networks and potential collaborations.
🧘 Time to reflect: In the busy world of business, it can be difficult to find time to step back and reflect on one’s own leadership practices. Book clubs can provide a structured space to do just that, with the added benefit of hearing others’ perspectives and insights.
🚀 Accountability: Being part of a book club can provide a sense of accountability to actually read the book and show up to the meetings, which can help leaders prioritize their own development and growth.
☕ Bring along a coffee and join in the conversation.
Everyone attending will have the opportunity to meet other members, share their thoughts and ideas, and learn about the benefits of being a part of a business book club.
