Jamil is one of today’s foremost practitioners of performance psychology and is an expert in high performance people and teams. As the co-founder of several change agencies, Jamil has worked with a rich diversity of the most talented business and sports people & teams in the world. His business clients include senior teams in, among others, Coca Cola, Emirates Airlines, Barclays and the BBC and his sports clients have included 2 of the world’s number 1 golfers, 3 English Premiership football clubs and Formula 1 driver David Coulthard.
Jamil used to be a regular performer at London’s prestigious Comedy Store and has done a standup in front of a celebrity audience at the Groucho Club. He’s one of only a few external psychologists to be allowed to study astronauts on the NASA Space Programme and he lectures for Ashridge Business School in the US, UK and China.
Paul has over thirty years of local and global commercial leadership experience in a number of sectors and across B2B and B2C. These have been owner led as well as AIM and Nasdaq listed global organisations operating in manufacturing, supply chain, technology and retail sectors.
Paul has been supporting Jersey businesses for over 20 years as a B2B supplier and more recently growing one the largest ecommerce operators in Jersey. As CEO of Onogo Paul led the organisation to double its size, developed the team culture and gained the recognition of the Jersey Good Business Charter. He was awarded IOD Large Business Director of the Year in 2022.
Kristen Morel was born in Jersey and grew up in St Lawrence, the parish he now represents in the States of Jersey. Before becoming a States Member Kirsten ran a successful content development business specialising in writing about technology and finance. With clients in Jersey and around the world, the articles and copy he wrote for companies and publishers kept him connected to the international and ever-changing technology landscape. He studied at the Universities of Birmingham and Strasbourg and has a Diploma in Environmental Decision Making from the Open University.
First elected to the States of Jersey in 2018, he is now the Deputy Chief Minister, Minister for Economic Development, Tourism, Sport and Culture and is a Member of the Diversity Forum.
Phil is the found of the consultancy Leaders. He has significant expertise in sophisticated psychometrics and in the application of human data for individual, team and organisational success. Since launching Leaders in 2017, Phil has worked with many senior executives and boards primarily in the Channel Islands and City of London. He regularly writes for a variety of business publications and is often invited to speak at events for institutions such as the IoD and the British Army.
Jennifer Carnegie is the Chief Operating Officer at Amicus Limited, a strategic leadership consultancy. Prior to Amicus, she spent 20 years living and working around the world for international blue-chip corporations including a global telecommunications and entertainment provider, manufacturing facilities and was instrumental in creating and running a successful global corporate university for one of the world’s leading fast-moving consumer goods companies. Jennifer is a Non-Executive Director of the Channel Islands Cooperative Society and Condor Ferries.
Accredited as a Chartered Marketer for over 25 years and with substantial experience in leadership, Michelle has had a varied career spanning both the public and the private sector. Her career began in marketing within Legal 500 Law Firms and progressed to the Education sector. Here Michelle was one of only a handful of non-teaching staff to have been awarded the National Professional Qualification for Headship and lead a multi-partner collaboration that won a Guardian Newspaper Innovation in Partnership Healthcare Award. Michelle also has a university associate position delivering professional, undergraduate and postgraduate business, marketing and leadership programmes.
Melissa is a business psychologist, coach and a fellow of the CIPD. Having worked in FMCG and financial services businesses she has extensive experience of supporting organisations to develop their people strategies. She co-founded 80Twenty with a philosophy that the right and responsible way to run a business combines strong, effective and authentic leadership with an approach that places communities, people and the environment alongside profit. The business is a certified B Corp which enables it to be part of a systems change seeking to shift the economy towards a more inclusive and sustainable future.
Jason Laity is a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Tax Adviser. He was Senior Partner and Chairman of KPMG in the Channel Islands until 2019 where he built extensive experience of the financial services industry and the general business environment in Jersey. He now holds various non-executive board positions and co-founded 80Twenty a consultancy and coaching business that helps businesses and other organisations prioritise long term impact over short term gain.
Nancy has been leading teams and projects through cultural change in various organisations for many years. She now works for the Jersey Recovery College and believes that opening the conversation around our mental health and creating environments of psychological safety are essential to our growth as individuals and to our success as sustainable organisations. She is at the leading edge of compassionate workplace training and development.
Nicole is an advocate for lifelong learning, believing that every opportunity to develop our thinking and outlook should be embraced. Having achieved degrees in Child, Family and Educational Studies as well as Theology, she has previously worked as a teacher, a senior leader at an Elim Pentecostal Church and is an ordained Reverend. Nicole has helped with charitable projects around the world and is an appointed RAF Air Cadet Chaplain.
Kareena: Having achieved a degree in Community and Youth Work, Kareena built her career in the third sector as head of Action for Children in Guernsey for over 10 years. Kareena is keenly committed to fostering systems and environments that enable people to flourish. She has substantial experience in team building and leadership, engaging with multiple stakeholders and supporting individuals in creating healthier habits in work and life.
Jenny has an MA in Organisational Psychology and is a certified PCI Change Practitioner. She studied at the University of Melbourne, Monash, and Deakin in Australia before moving back to Jersey and embarking on a career in HR. She progressed into consultancy where her focus was change management, culture diagnostics, project management and leadership development. Jenny now supports clients in delivering strategic change portfolios, project management, business planning, stakeholder management and governance. Jenny also leads on Marbral’s wellbeing consultancy services, delivering corporate wellbeing reviews, data analysis, and developing wellbeing programmes across the Channel Islands.
