With non-essential retail businesses due to open tomorrow Wednesday 3rd February the following information would be useful for all businesses to ensure that they have the correct processes in place prior to opening.

Government of Jersey have complied a Safe Opening Checklist for businesses to help get the workplace ready and be COVID secure.

The newly formed COVID Support Team will be visiting businesses to support them in ensuring that both their workforce and customers are safe.  All businesses must have a Risk Assessment in place prior to opening to demonstrate that they promote safe working practices.  Pre-booked visits can be arranged with the team at [email protected].

From Sat 30th January the rules wearing a mask or mouth and nose covering for retail workers and anyone entering a retail premises in a work capacity (drivers, cleaners etc.) were extended. These mandate that workers must were a mask (or visor when exempt from face covering) in all areas of the premises.  If you have any questions about face covering requirements in your workplace please contact [email protected].

If you are feeling uncertain about the viability of your business or just would benefit from help with reviewing its financial position then do apply for our Business Health Check.  This confidential support will help you identify the challenges or opportunities for your business so you can make realistic decisions about its future.
