COVID-19 Latest – New COVID-19 measures
This afternoon the Government of Jersey announced new measures for business in response to the new Omicron variant of COVID-19.
From January 4th it will be mandatory to wear face masks in all indoor public settings, this will reflect previous practice with exemptions when exercising, eating, drinking, and in church.
There will be a focus by hospitality venues to collect contact tracing information to facilitate rapid contact tracing for this much more transmissible variant.
Working from home
From January 4th Government are advising that businesses should, where possible, use working from home arrangements to keep their staff safe. This is not enforceable by Law and where working from home is not possible the working environment must be safe for staff to continue to work safely through social distancing, testing and mask wearing.
