Consultations
Responding to consultations allows the retail sector to have its voice heard during the development of government policy and services.
The Government of Jersey and other regulatory bodies will issue public consultations on most new policies and policy changes. The purpose of these consultations is to enable stakeholders to express their views of the impacts of the proposals on their business, industry or individual circumstances. It is vital therefore, that the retail industry is proactive in submitting a response to relevant consultations in order to get its voice heard.
Jersey Retail coordinates a collective response from its members to policy changes that will impact on long and short term future of the sector. These responses are collected in a range of different ways:
- focus groups
- online surveys
- one to one discussions
All views are collated into a single, structured response to the consultation making sure that individual views are anonymised. You can read the submissions that have been made on the links below.
