The __cfduid cookie is used for security purposes and is used to identify individual clients behind a shared IP address and apply security settings on a per-client basis. For example, if the visitor is in a coffee shop where there are a number of infected machines, but the specific visitor’s machine is trusted, the cookie allows us to identify that client and not challenge them again.

Google Translation sets a first party cookies ‘googtrans’ which is used to identify the language preferences of users who choose to translate a webpage into a supported language. Google Translate may also collect anonymous data via third-party cookies to measure and monitor usage of its product.

The Jersey Business website has a site search facility which is powered by a third-party platform called Swiftype. The platform helps deliver faster, more accurate results when a search is performed. Swiftype sets its own cookie which is used to measure user interaction with the product, which in turn, helps them to improve the quality and reliability of the product.

The majority of Twitter cookies are set if you are logged into your Twitter account.
