Wendy is a Partner and Jersey qualified solicitor at BCR Law with over 25 years of experience in providing legal advice to Jersey businesses and individuals.

Wendy has a specialism in employment law, with her focus being on advising employers in all their employment-related requirements, including advising on mergers & acquisitions, redundancies, re-structuring, termination of employment and restrictive covenants. She also offers expertise in the legislative framework governing business and employee migration and secondment to and from Jersey. Prior to joining BCR, Wendy has her own boutique practice focusing on providing legal advice to local businesses, including on employment law. Wendy was also a partner at another large offshore firm for 12 years prior to that and set up their employment law department. Wendy qualified as a Jersey Ecrivain (solicitor) in July 1993 and is the current President of the Chambre des Ecrivains (Solicitors) in Jersey.

Chris is a Scottish qualified Solicitor. He attended law school at the University of Aberdeen and also holds a masters in oil and gas law. Chris has significant experience providing legal advice to both businesses and individuals. Chris assists our clients with employment and corporate matters. He also advises our clients on data protection issues. Chris prides himself on delivering solutions focused pragmatic advice based on knowing his client’s needs. Chris is able to support clients on corporate and both contentious and non-contentious employment matters. Chris also enjoys delivering training and has previously delivered training on probation periods, the contents of non-disclosure agreements, the implementation of new contracts of employment and directors duties.

James is an Advocate in BCR Law’s Corporate and Commercial department and English solicitor (not practising). Previously James was senior in-house legal counsel for a fiduciary services company, supporting the legal business requirements of such business and its corporate, funds and employer and executive solutions lines. Prior to this James worked at a large offshore law firm for over eight and a half years where his practice included dealing with a broad range of international and local corporate and finance matters. Including establishing, buying and selling Jersey companies (many with a UK real estate focus), joint venture transactions, financing transactions (primarily for corporate borrower clients), numerous cashboxes for London Stock Exchange listed clients, corporate restructurings and other commercial matters.
