The arguments for creating diverse and inclusive workplaces are compelling but how can Jersey organisations turn their valuable diversity dialogue into tangible, inclusive action?
IoD Jersey is creating a Diversity and Inclusion Leadership Charter to promote and embed progressive diversity and inclusion (D&I) activity across Jersey organisations. It has set out its intentions in a 2020 Vision Statement and is seeking your support.
In this first event of the IoD Jersey 2020 Diversity Series:
Dr. Emiko Caerlewy-Smith (Chair, IoD Jersey Diversity Sub-Committee) and Lisa Springate (Chair, IoD Jersey) will present our D&I Vision Statement and 2020 plans;
Kate Wright (Co-founder, The Diversity Network & a professional HR consultant) will offer practical, best practice advice on how to approach D&I implementation within your organisation; and,
Pippa Davidson (Founder, Lean In Jersey) will facilitate an in-audience panel to share their case-study experiences of D&I activity on-island.
All attendees will have the opportunity to sign a statement of support for IoD Jersey’s 2020 D&I Vision Statement, at or after the event.
“Diversity is being invited to the party. Inclusion is being asked to dance.” (Verna Myers, D&I Expert & VP, Inclusion Strategy, Netflix)
