Since 1997, 365Tickets has been offering a digital ticketing distribution service for attractions and activities throughout the world. During this time, they have developed a unique and bespoke system which offers in excess of 3,800 products.
Business Improvement Project
Ana Cengic (Theme Park and European Product Manager) and Chantelle Ward (UK Marketing Manager) participated in the Business Improvement programme to apply Lean techniques to the Supplier Onboarding Process, the process of making supplier product live on 365Tickets websites.
During the programme, they created detailed Process Maps which were displayed in the offices and discussed with the wider workforce. The team went on to collect data for analysis and brainstorming sessions across the business. This helped them to highlight bottle-necks, duplication, variable processing and numerous opportunities for change and improvement.
- Standardisation of contracting documents
- Development of a new supplier commissions scheme
- Simplified and more interactive supplier awareness systems
- Development of a partnership web
- Elimination of unnecessary processing
- Educating and training for current best practice
- An increase in commission of 1% resulting in 15% gross margin – this is expected to realise a financial benefit of £100,000.00 to the company’s gross profit.
- Development of members of staff to continue with Business Improvement activity.
- Improved training across the contracts team to reduce variation and improve efficiency.
“The Project has given me various tools and insight to improve productivity in the workplace by cutting waste. From reviewing supplier relationships on the commercial value for 365Tickets with data for time/cost basis to finding simple solutions to simplify processes. The project allowed us the time to step away from day to day tasks and take a good look at processes in currently in place. It also gave us the opportunity to have great discussions with our various teams and co-operate on the solutions instead of working in our own silo’s” – Ana Cengic
“The Business Improvement Programme has been fantastic. As our business grows at 365Tickets it is important for us to streamline key processes across our network for a unified approach. The course has given us the tools to define what these are and how we can go forward to standardised these. It has encouraged us to open some great discussions with various members of the team and has already lead to key changes within the business. I’m excited to see what projects we can be involved in next to make more positive changes as we continue to grow. ”- Chantelle Ward
“I completely endorse this program of ‘Business Improvement Planning’ that Brian and the team at Jersey Business have delivered in 2018. Both Ana and Chantelle have been totally engaged, working independently and productively on the project that will benefit, not only the area of study (Supplier On-Boarding) but the culture of our undertakings going forward. On behalf of 365Tickets, thank you to all who have invested their time, efforts and energy!”
Tim De Gruchy, Managing Director
